Hello and Welcome, friends!
My name is Lindsay, the founder of Stone Beauty Co. This is what I want you to hear today:
You are WONDERFULLY MADE and I believe you are more than just a face.
The skincare industry feeds on our flaws. I believe what makes us feel beautiful is not turning back time, but living our purpose and valuing what's important. Faith and family are most important to me, and I pray Stone Beauty Co. will be a light in the darkness.
Here's the thing - beauty influencers and marketing firms work really hard to convince us it doesn't matter what we put on our skin as long as it gets us closer to "perfect". What you put on your skin and how it's made matters - how you feel about yourself matters. As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, I know first-hand how powerful a positive change can be. Without a doubt, seeking health and balance with your skin can change the way you feel about yourself... and that can change your life.
I've been trying to expierience and capture beauty for as long as I can remember. I used to spend hours painting alongside my grandmother in her studio when I was young. From there, I fell in love with art and music and threw myself into the arts in middle and high school, growing into a woman searching for her God-given purpose. I went to college to become an intaglio printmaker, to grad school to study fine art, and eventually ended up working with a national geographic photographer. My love of design led me to starting a custom wedding invitation design business, and working as a graphic designer. After a few years I decided I needed a change and started a tax practice (math is full of beauty), and untimately went back to the art world becaming a professional makeup artist and starting a successful wedding makeup artist business.
Somewhere in the middle of finding my way, taking care of my very sensitive skin started to become a constant frustration. Every single store-bought cream or concoction caused a negative reaction. I was able to find some non-irritating skincare, but it wasn't natural and didn't have any of the skin-changing ingredients a 35+ year old wants. I began hand-making skincare for myself and experienced clear, moisturised skin for the first time since my teenage years. Eventually I used my formulas on makeup clients and they loved it as much as I did. I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my skincare passion-project into a business when I realized the need for clean, simple skincare for people who are just like me. It's my sincere desire to use my gifts to make the world a more beautiful place. I would be honored if one of my products took up residence on your bathroom counter!
I fell in love with the love of my life and after years of infertility, became a mama to our miracle twin babies - two amazingly joyful little girls. I've been married to Russell for more than a decade and we live on our farm in Texas with chickens, kitties, and a random cow that wondered onto our farm. I went through a life-changing jaw surgery in 2021 and you can read about that here.
I love Jesus, my friends, and my family. My goal is simple: to fulfill my purpose, make an impact and use what God has given me to help other people. I LOVE food (anything drenched in queso, really), trying new gluten-free recipes, long morning walks, listening to podcasts, British TV, Yellowstone, snacks, watching TV while eating snacks, puns, and quoting A Few Good Men. You can check out my blog for the latest skincare info.
Lastly, thanks for being here. I mean it. Please don't hesitate to reach out and say hi. I'd love to meet you. :)
With ❤️ from Texas,
